us pick up winter wind-blown plastics before the birds weave
them into their nests! Meet at the red Pump House on Huron

old shoes and a smile. Meet some new friends. Dress in layers.
We will provide cotton gloves, tools and a snack. Children

NSPN (North Shore Paddlers' Network) in cleaning up the shoreline
of Upper Mystic Lake in Medford, where we hold popular practice
sessions in the summer. Meet at 9:00 AM at the MDC boat ramp,
on the east side of the lake, off Mystic Valley Parkway, between
Upper and Lower Mystic Lakes. We'll finish up by lunch. Coffee
and donuts served. Bring work gloves and some eye protection
for working in the brush. Like many recreational urban waterways,
Mystic Lakes get a lot of trash, which degrades the experience
of those who use them, including us. So here's a chance to
give back to the community for the facilities we enjoy, improve
our and everybody's experience of Mystic Lake, and help the
public image of NSPN in the process. Last year we blew away
the MDC with the amount of trash we collected, and we aim

St (Rte 3). Go left & then right over the Mill Brook bridge
& turn left onto Brook Ave. There is an opening in the fence
to the wetland. It's always interesting to see what is washed
